About

Built for the resale counter.

Platos Wallet is a register-and-messaging stack built for Plato's Closet stores: in-person card processing on a smart reader, plus texting and email to keep shoppers coming back. Built by Gull-Stack.

Why we built it

A Plato's Closet store lives on two motions: ringing up a sale fast at the counter, and getting the person who just sold you their clothes to come back and buy something. Most stores handle that with three disconnected tools — a card terminal, a texting app, and an email tool — none of which know what was actually sold.

Platos Wallet puts all three in one place and ties them to the sale. The register takes the card; the same system texts and emails the shopper; and the reporting understands that resale has a buy side as well as a sell side.

What makes it different

Generic retail software treats every store like it only sells. Plato's Closet also buys — all day, from the public, for cash. Platos Wallet is built around that reality: it measures buy spend and take rate next to net sales and sell-through, so you can see contribution and decide what to buy more of.

Your account, your money

Every store runs on its own payments account, under its own business. Revenue, payouts, and refunds stay with the store, and one login can still oversee multiple locations with clean per-store reporting. We never sit between you and your money.

What we believe

Software that respects the counter

Fast beats fancy

At a busy counter, every extra tap costs you. The register is built to ring a sale in seconds.

Honest numbers

We show what's real and label what isn't. No fabricated dashboards, no markup games on processing.

Made for resale

Buy side and sell side, measured together — because that's how a Plato's Closet actually makes money.
